User guide/STAGE: perform

STAGE: perform

Now/Next decks, GO with crossfades, blackout and strobe, pads, rundowns, shows, combos.

The console you perform from

STAGE is the live view: a broadcast desk for planning a night and steering it in real time. When STAGE is live, the main window shows a return button so you always know which surface has control.

Now, Next, GO

Two decks with live previews: NOW is what the room sees, NEXT is what you have lined up. Click NEXT to pick a look from the library, long-press to grab whatever is currently playing, right-click to clear. Hit GO and NEXT takes the stage with a real crossfade: the outgoing frame freezes and dissolves into the incoming look, so transitions read as intentional, never as a cut. HOLD pins the current look against the autopilot.

Ride the moment

A row of momentary performance keys sits under your fingers: BLACKOUT, a beat-locked STROBE (hard photosensitive-safety cap of three flashes per second), and FREEZE. Press and hold; release and the show returns. Every STAGE control carries an address, so all of it lands on MIDI and OSC.

Pads

Hot-cue pads hold looks you want on a trigger, each with a live thumbnail. Assign a pad, hit it when the room needs it.

Rundowns, plans, pools, autopilot

Build a rundown for the night: concrete entries play a specific look with its own duration, pool entries shuffle from a group you curated. Reorder by drag; unset entries flag themselves so nothing surprises you mid-set. Autopilot follows the rundown, or smart-shuffles when none is loaded, with a dwell you pick from seconds to minutes and a live countdown to the next switch.

Shows

NEW / SAVE / LOAD / DELETE manage whole shows: a saved show carries the rundown, your pads, and the per-output setup, so Friday's rig comes back with one load.

Combos

The Combos tab is a layer compositor with a live preview: stack looks into a composite, save it, and recall the whole stack in one click.

Tempo and the logo

Tap four or more times to set the BPM by feel; double-click to clear it. The Logo button opens the Image Studio to build or edit your overlay and lights up whenever one is live. Outputs route per screen, so the projector and the stream can carry different dressing.

STAGE ships in the Studio tier. Tier contents at launch are listed on the pricing page; the Steam page is authoritative.
