Lyrics

Synced lyrics on screen, where they come from, and what to do when a track has none.

Words On
The Show

Synced lyrics ride the visuals, line by line, timed to the track. Click the album art on the console to open them; click again to put them away.

Three modes

Classic draws the current line clean over the show. Physics hands each line to a physics simulation, so words drift, swing, and settle with their own weight. Native uses the source's own lyric display where one exists.

Make them yours

Position the line at the top, center, or bottom of the stage, scale the font from subtle to headline, set the opacity, and pick a color: the theme accent, white, or a swatch of your own.

Where the words come from

Sources that carry synced lyrics, like Spotify, supply their own. Everything else falls back to the community LRCLIB database. Very new or obscure tracks may have no entry, which is where the next part comes in.

Add your own: Tap to Time

Open Add Lyrics and paste the words. If they already carry timestamps, they play immediately. If they are plain text, Tap to Time turns timing them into a performance: play the track and stamp each line the moment it lands. Seekable sources get a small timeline with previous, play, and next, so a missed stamp is a two-second fix, not a restart. Saved lyrics live in your local lyrics folder, keyed by title and artist, and you can point IKANDY at a folder of your own.

On the broadcast

Lyrics have their own broadcast switch: show them on the second screen, Spout, and recordings, or keep the output clean.

Tier note Physics lyrics and the Tap-to-Time editor ship in the Pro tier; see pricing. The Steam page is authoritative.
