Steam Workshop
Publish scenes you made, pull in what other players made, and keep your name on the work.
The Workshop shelf
The Library's WORKSHOP shelf browses everything the community has published, straight from the Steam Workshop, without leaving the app.
Browse and download
- Open the Library and choose WORKSHOP on the rail. Search, filter by Everything, AI Art, Shader Works or Downloaded, and sort by Trending, Newest or Most subscribed.
- Every card says where the item will land before you take it: AI art lands in My Scenes under its own vibe, and shader works land in Artists under their maker's name.
- Press DOWNLOAD. IKANDY subscribes to the item on Steam and files it for you. The Subscribed tab of the Workshop panel lists what you have taken, and Workshop items enter the finishing chain like every other scene.
Publish your work
- Launch IKANDY through Steam: publishing needs the Steam client.
- On the WORKSHOP shelf press PUBLISH YOUR WORK, or open the Workshop panel from the My Scenes header.
- Choose the scene, give it a title and a description, and pick who it publishes as: your Steam name or your IKANDY handle. Shader credits and filenames always use the IKANDY handle.
- Tick the rights box, press Publish to Workshop, and accept Steam's one-time Workshop legal agreement, or the item stays hidden.
- Items are tagged by how they were made and published as Public, with a preview image generated for you. Renaming a scene later keeps its identity, so the Workshop preview does not go missing.
Preset packs
Outside the Workshop, .ikpack files export a scene as a verified package you can share by hand and import on another PC. Verified Shadertoy imports carry a sealed provenance receipt, so an import that was tampered with cannot pass as the original.
Tier note
Browsing the Workshop is free. Downloading, publishing and .ikpack export ship in the Pro tier; see pricing. The Steam page is authoritative.
